Dzan is a writer and film director based in New York, NY. He grew up in New Jersey after his family fled Bosnia during the Yugoslav Wars of the 1990s. He is a thesis student at NYU Tisch’s graduate film program. Prior to that, Dzan graduated with a degree in philosophy from the University of Chicago and was awarded a Fulbright grant to teach English at the University of Prizren in Kosovo. He has directed several short films, including Deus Ex Gym Machina (2021), In Medium Res (2022), and The Fifth Column (2024).
