An Ecuadorian immigrant tries to earn a large sum of money by doing sex work in order to marry an American citizen, avoid deportation, and remain in the United States.

Julio Lourido is an Ecuadorian actor, playwright, and filmmaker based in New York City. He received the Latinx Playwriting Award at the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival for his full-length play The Psychic and the Clown. His most recent play, Beto’s Interview, was featured at the Rogue Theater Festival at The Flea Theater last summer.

Julio recently graduated from Brooklyn College’s Film Production program and completed his short film SUCIO, which he wrote and directed. The film will begin its festival run in 2026.
