Tonghuan Zhao is a Chinese writer-director and cinematographer based in New York City. He studied documentary photography as an undergraduate and received his MFA in Film Directing from Columbia University. His recent short film Last Day in the North received the Indian Paintbrush Grant and won Jury Selects, Student Selects, and the Audience Award at the Columbia University Film Festival. His feature cinematography debut, Jet Lag in Summer, was selected for the 25th New York Asian Film Festival and the 28th Far East Film Festival.
