Speaking only his native language, a Guatemalan teenager begins his new life in rural Colorado.

Max Walker-Silverman is a writer and filmmaker from rural Colorado. After studying History and Theater at Stanford University he returned home to work as a cowhand, literary editor, and community organizer, before attending NYU’s Graduate Film Program. He now tells stories about kindness and hurt in the American West. He is currently in production on his first feature: a gentle, western love story starring Dale Dickey and Wes Studi, and produced by Dan Janvey (Beasts of the Southern Wild, Patti Cake$, Nomadland).
