NEW YORK, NY (Sept. 23, 2026) – Lore and The National Board of Review (NBR) today announced the inaugural class of the NBR Supercut Fellowship, presented by Lore. This new honor is an annual grant recognizing fan editors whose work shapes contemporary film culture. The awarded Fellows are Chris Fong (Sacramento, CA), Zohair Khan (Berkshire, UK), Keona Lau (Sydney, AUS), and Lorenzo Rosa (Glendale, CA).

Supercuts (social-first edits that stitch film scenes together through music and common themes) have rapidly evolved from a niche form of content into an increasingly influential mode of storytelling. They revive interest in older studio catalogues, drive streaming discovery, and generate excitement around new releases.

“The NBR legacy has always been about awarding the talent of today while spotlighting the talent of tomorrow. We’re proud to carry this mission forward by recognizing the distinct creative voices of these four young editors as we support their future careers in filmmaking,” said Annie Schulhof, NBR President.

The inaugural Fellowship is presented by Lore, a fandom research platform built for subjective search and deeper fan discovery. The partnership reflects a shared recognition of the increasingly active role audiences play in shaping film culture. Lore’s support will provide each inaugural Fellow with a grant, while NBR will provide institutional recognition, mentorship, and opportunities for Fellows to share original work with NBR audiences.

“Fans are the market makers of this industry. The conviction they put into a film is what outlasts opening weekend and turns a story into a world worth billions. Viral fan edits foster belief, the only asset in Hollywood that compounds, and these editors are the ones deciding which films get to keep it. That power deserves recognition,” said Zehra Naqvi, founder and CEO of Lore.
