Saleem Nasir Gondal (he/him) is a filmmaker based in New York. His work explores the power of conversation and sound to convey the interior lives of underrepresented communities onscreen. His pilot script DRUM AND VERSE was selected for the Muslim List, created by The Black List in collaboration with MPAC Hollywood Bureau and Pillars Fund. His short film SUPER SONIC has screened in five different countries, including the Austin Film Festival, TIDE Film Festival and the 43rd Asian American International Film Festival. He is a 2022 Pillars Artist Fellowship Finalist. He has a BFA from NYU Tisch and MFA from Brooklyn College Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema. His 2022 MFA thesis film POST TERM is an exploration into romance and tradition, highlighting the language of intimacy in South Asian culture.
