Can you talk about that decision, and how you thought about the various meta elements of the project?
Theo Anthony: That idea of accounting for the act of observation in observing is something that I’ve always been drawn to, as a big science nerd!

Can you tell us about the evolution of this film?
Jayro Bustamante: Well, you know, at the beginning we were thinking about making a triptych, and that that triptych would be about three insults that are common in Guatemala.

How did you end up bringing it to the screen?
Daniel Pearle: Jim Parsons read the play and he had just started his company, That’s Wonderful.
Silvia, a 41-year-old dairy farm worker in upstate New York, has had a difficult life. She doesnt like to have friends to avoid complications and conflicts. But when a new group of workers arrive to work in the farm, she meets Clara(21), a single mom who migrates from México to provide for her baby girl, Fabiana. Clara is assigned to the same bed as Silvia. One will sleep while the other works long shifts. Clara is struggling so much that Silvia ends up getting involved and having a new friend.
